Research Programme in Sicily
27–30 May 2026
La Masseria Porzel — Modica, Sicily, Italy
From 27 to 30 May 2026, La Masseria Porzel in Modica hosts a research programme bringing together artists and researchers through dialogues, actions, workshops and readings. These four days combine the exploration of distinctive artistic practices with collective reflection and groundwork for future ENDA residencies at the Masseria.
The activities unfold in response to the encounters and the setting: exchanges around the Encyclopaedia of Obsessions, thermohygrometry, music beyond sound, SMS poetry, donbat, interstitial creation, Microcollection and daensification. Shared meals, informal conversations and explorations of the surroundings punctuate the programme.
The Biennale de Paris is a partner in this research programme at La Masseria Porzel, extending its commitment to artistic experimentation, collective intelligence and the invention of new conditions for art to exist. This collaboration connects the artists’ research with reflection on the conditions in which they are hosted, work and develop their practices, notably through preparations for future ENDA residencies in Sicily.
